To all those who have those coveted optimised Visors:

Because they are refurbished models, what are their general condtion?

Do you get the same color back from Handspring, or do they just mail off any odd thing?

Hows the screen?

What version is the OS built in the ROM? My friend bought a Visor in Sept. with ROM 3.1H2, but my Visor from April is H1. Do the refurbished come with H3? or maybe 3.2 or 3.3?

3.1H3 which you can get by installing the Handspring Updater.

My optimized just came today and it *seems* to be brand new. Not so much as a smudge on the screen, and my Minstrel works GREAT!

I just got my optimized DX today as well and I believe it is a refurbished model:

1) the paint is somewhat scratched off the screws

2) there are blue markings on some of the parts, especially inside the battery compartment.

But the unit is solid and the reception is great.

Handspring ships you the same model and color that you are replacing not just "any odd thing."

I got my optimised Visor the day after I ordered it.

And it looks just as new as the any other.

In fact, it looks better then my old one. The screen is nice, bright, and clear, while my old one is looking a little worse then wear.

It came with 3.1H2, and I backed up my old one onto it with out any problems.

The signal is much improved. I took a short car ride (In which I managed to drive into a snow bank, but lets not get off subject) and the signal stayed locked most of the time, but I lost it when the Palm turned off after 3 min.

I guess it's time to wish my first Visor, my first Palm ever, good bye.
