Has anybody else had the same experience with the lousy customer service from E & B? I odered my Slipper case almost three weeks ago and can't seem to get any response from these people. I just want to know when the darn thing will ship. I've emailed and placed a couple of phone calls. No return email and all you get when you call is voice mail.
I'm very frustrated.

I have had a similar experience. After multiple emails, I received the following response dated 3/1:

"We are receiving a shipment of Visors and your order is next to go out. This
product has been very popular and we appreciate your patience while we
catch up with our backlog.
Kind regards,
Mike"

Unfortunately I have had no news since then (my credit card has not yet been charged, the tracking page still shows the item backordered & I have received no further updates from E&B.) I ordered my case on 2/2.

Same thing with me. I ordered 2/7, was told
on 2/14 my order would ship in no more than 2 weeks. I still haven't seen a charge on my credit card.

Ordered on 1/24... still waiting. Was told via email that they should ship on or about 3/1... still waiting.

Sent another email this morning... still waiting.

Received an email this evening confirming that my Slipper has FINALLY shipped!!!

I certainly hope this case was worth the wait...

I ordered a Slipper case on Jan 27/00. I received an email that it was finally shipped Feb. 28/00! I never received it and today, Mar. 8, I called and they admitted it must have been lost and they would send me a new case when they get them back in stock... on Mar 16!

I never like the idea that they were charging me $10 for shipping, and now I resent it even more.

I ordered the slipper case on 2/18/2000. By the looks of the above posts, I should expect mine in a couple of months.
I did get an email from Mike saying he expected a large shipment and orders would be mailed out the following week, but it been over a week now and still no case.
I think E&B is really overloaded with orders and are trying there best to get these out. And if everything I have read on VisorCentral is true, it will be worth the wait.

I received an email from E&B this morning informing me my case was shipped out today, which I confirmed on their website. In my opinion, the wait would have been acceptable with some decent customer service attached (sound familiar?) However, it still bothers me that when I ordered, the item showed as in stock when it was not, I never received information from E & B letting me know the status, other than that the item was on backorder, I had to contact E & B repeatedly to even get a reply, and they have done nothing to try to make it up to me (sending it express after being backordered for 6 weeks would have gone a long way in placating me, heck I would have PAID for express delivery if I had any clue of the time frame when I ordered the thing!!) I hope the case is worth the wait, but the experience still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe both Handspring and E&B could learn something from Panache.

UPDATE:

My Slipper arrived today!!! As an added bonus, I received one WITH the belt clip even though I ordered the standard one. I'm not going to complain and don't care if it was a mistake by them or not...

The case is VERY nice, seems to offer fairly good screen protection and so far the plastic cover over the buttons dosn't seem too bad. It won't HotSync properly but I've still got the little sticker they sent with the case. I'll wait a few days to see if the leather breaks in enough to let it sit properly in the cradle.

All in all, after six weeks of waiting, it looks like it was worth it (and I've only had it for 30 minutes!!!).

For those of you still waiting, keep the faith... it will be worth it.

Just got the notification that my Slipper has shipped. I ordered it on 2/14. After several emails and a couple of phone calls I'm finally getting results. The wait isn't the thing that bothers me it's that they don't inform folks of the status. I don't think they have a clue when their product will ship. Maybe it's who ever yells the loudest. Hope I like it.

I received my Slipper today as much of a surprise. After 8 weeks with no notification, the product showed up. It seems there is much more room on the top than I expected. Could they have re-designed the Slipper and made a new batch thus explaining the delay? HotSyncs do seem to be a problem, even with the provided sticker. Maybe that will improve as the case fits to the Visor.

I got the Slipper cases I ordered on 2/18/00. Two great cases in under a month! I was expecting them to take longer, after reading some of the post here.
As for the case, it is everything I was expecting. Very nice. I would have waited longer if I had to....

I received my E&B Slipper case today, and I just wanted to say it was well worth the wait. It's very classy. My only concern is that there needs to be more velco to hold the cover down. I'm not sure how to do this myself. In spite of this, I love the case.

I received my Slipper case on Saturday. I am very pleased with it. Personally, I like the amount of velcro as the case doesn't make a loud noise when you open it. Some other cases I looked at made that loud ripping noise (it's difficult to play BSBingo after announcing yourself like that!) I was concerned by the plastic which covers the buttons, but I found that didn't bother me with the exception of the scrolling buttons, so I made cut outs for them-it worked great. I have had difficulty synching the visor in the case, even with the little tab they give you to stick on. Have others found that this gets easier as the leather wears a little? Overall, a great case (but the company still needs to work on their customer service)

I finally received my EB Slipper case. I like it. But I haven't been able to synch with it in the case unless I totally lean on the visor to make contact with the cradle. I mean, during a long synch my wrist actually gets tired of holding the thing in place. I put the little tab on the back which provided zero help.

Can anyone provide some tips for making this work?
