Angry

Alright, so I'm an idiot. About weeks ago I was goofin' around with the security options on my Visor. I set a password, and I set the pen-drag-up-from-bottom function to be turn off and lock. (on my Palm III that I had for a year, the pen function was Backlight.)

Last night, in the dark, I tried to turn on the backlight. I tried to do it like I did on my Palm III. Instead, my visor turned off and locked. I don't remember the password.

I *really* hope I don't have to hard reset. Any thoughts?

Yeah, I am pretty sure you need to hard-reset....... I had a friend who did the same thing on his PilotPro, and he searched for days before he broke down and did a hard reset.

Yeah, That's kind of what I've been guessing too. My Sync Frequency has been down a bit since I stopped having internet on my machine, but *most* every thing will be restored by a sync.

*sigh* I gotta tell you all.....It sucks to be dumb!

If you don't have any private items, you are ok. Go to the Security App and tap Forgotten Password. You will lose any locked items but everything else should stay.

Cool

JHromadka:

The original problem was in relation to the "Turn off and Lock" feature (as in you have to enter a password to power the unit on), and not just to regular 'private' records. Therefore the poster can not GET to the security menu... :P

Red face

Ouch! Another good reason to set the password to something you will remember ASAP.
