Is there a way to backup up apps that I add (hacks, docs, games, etc) onto my PC so I don't need the backup module?

I'll second the BackupBuddy motion. I've got it shortly after getting my Visor and hadn't had a need to restore anything until the other day. I installed a program that went haywire on me. It was a simple hard reset and restore from BackupBuddy. Everything restored perfectly.

For a freeware solution check out BackupAll on http://palm.eisenbach.com/

Caveat here: if you delete a file or app from the Visor/PDA that was backed up to your backup folder on the PC, it is NOT deleted from the backup folder. You have to do that manually. This doesn't synch, just sets the files backup flags.
