Talking Magellan GPS and a decent map?

Got the Magellan GPS. Really like the capability the module has. Hate the mapping software that comes with it.

Had several recommendations for Mapopolis as an alternative. Has anyone had experience with Delorme? Thier website says their mapping software is GPS compatible but it looks like you've got to use an Earthmate reciever. Any suggestions?

I just got a Magellan for xmas and I too found the maps it came with to be useless. I tried the Mapoplis maps and they are great. The demo version (which is their "basic"map) was much better than the Magellan maps and the Premier version (which I finally bought) is outstanding. The only problem with the premier maps is that they are big but they allow you to do door to door directions. I recommend them highly.
