People with a huge library, lots of cash, some programming exerience, and some time on their hands might be interested in this project.

The fellow wanted a list of all the books in his personal paperback library, with author and publishing data, safely stored in a Visor database.
He purchased a bar code reader, and wrote a program to grab the code from each paperback, look the book up on the internet, and store it in the database.
