Red face

After syncing my Visor had a "Fatal Error" window open, I tapped the screen and it went to the Palm logo window, and that's it! I was installing a new app, that may be it, also my memory was getting maxed out.

I've tried reseting it - no luck!

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Chris

Do you see a little flashing square in the upper left hand corner of the screen? If so, what is happening is: During the reset every application on the PalmOS devices gets a special signal (the sysAppLaunchCmdSystemReset launch code). If an application generates a fault (presumably the new application just installed) during this time, the device drops into debug mode. The flashing square indicates this.

What you can do: Perform a firm reset. To do so: While holding the up arrow key down, press the reset key. Continue holding the up arrow key for a few seconds, just to be sure. Release and let the device finish booting. When up, find the application you just installed and delete it. Then perform another normal reset.

What this does: The firm reset acts like a normal reset, but does not initialize any OS patches or send the reset signal to all the applications.
