No Hotsynch w/ Memplug

I just received my SM Memplug for use with my Prism. Last night I discovered that during an attempt to hotsynch with the Memplug installed, the Prism could not make contact with the PC. I removed the Memplug and tried again to hotsynch. I repeated the process several times and each time the Visor can not make connection with the PC with the Memplug installed. BTW, this was with a Memplug with the circuit board labeled vers. 2 and the software version 1.3 -- before any test installation of PiDirect. And I have no hacks installed.

Have I missed some alert that you can't leave the Memplug in for hotsynch or is this an unreported bug? I've had no problems with hotsynch before so the Memplug represents the only change to the process.

Any information greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if this will work for you, but here's my 39 cents worth.
Do a soft reset on you PDA. Then try and hot sync.
I was trying to do a remote fix for my Dad awhile ago, we reinstalled, checked settings, everything, then tried the dreaded paperclip reset (when he got his replacement visor, he got the el cheapo plastic stylus) and it worked.

The same thing happened to me the other day, and the reset was the only thing that fixed it.

Oh, and by the way - Dad doesn't have a Memplug.

I have had no trouble syncing with my MemPlug. I have had it for a couple of months and it is rarely out of the slot.

Do you have another SB that you can insert and try the Hotsync. If another SB disables the process, it is a problem with your Visor, not the Memplug. I would suspect having a faulty Memplug if you can successfully Hotsync with another SB installed.
