visorcentral.com: I don't know, what do you want?

miradu2000: hey everyone!

I have about $50 dollars ready to spend on comptuer stuff (yeah!)

What do I get?

for my Visor, I don't need the backup module, and I already got a case. I like my stylus.

for my computer, I need a new CDROM (a 6x doesn't cut it), another 128 mb of memory ($40 at http://www.nanosys1.com ) new keyboard and mouse. WHAT DO I GET!!

I can't decide

Visorcentral.com: hmm.....

Hmmm.. let's see... mom and dad got you the Platinum for Christmas, right? Maybe you ought to take them out to dinner as a thank you

If that doesn't sound good, I've got a list a mile long of things I'd like to have!

Cool

Go for the 128MB memory. It will really boost performance to your PC, depending on its configuration.

good memory mark. Do you reakky think that someone who has an income of 16$ a month, spends it on food? Unluckly not. My parents just don't want me to fight with my little bros..

hmm lets see. 256 mb of memory. Win 2000 crashes many times when I really multitask. sounds good BUT

I want something I can hold in my hand...

P. S. Mark, you aren't a parent are you?

I wish!!! My income is all disposable... it comes in and my wife and kids dispose of it.

Oh, yes... two pre-teen daughters!!!

Luckily, they're not as techno-sophisticated as their dad... unfortunately, they're into many other things that keep my wallet empty (it would be cheaper if they liked computers!)

done!

I decided. IT all came down to, that my friend needed his CDROM back, so I got a 52x I/O magic. Bad brand, great price! (20 bucks, compUSA, on sale) I also got a nice keyboard. It's cool, but it has a problem of having 4 windows keys, and 2 of them are just plain unessary.(sp)

I don't understand this Mark. You have 2 kids (10-13 years old, I assume) and you can post so much? And WHAT hobby is mroe expensive than comptuers. (OK, my brother does fencing, he nationaly competes all over the o****ry, THAT's expensive!)

oh well, thank you all. Have a good night

last thing, $16 bucks a month = about only $250 a year, that's NOT enough to support a power computer user.

Could you tell me of your new CD-Rom fails to notice when you pop new CDs in? I've got a 56x IOmagic MagicSpin and 99% of the time, I've got to go into Explorer and hit refresh at just the right moment to read it.

Doesn't seem to at all. It's a great drive, FAST (compared to 6x) and just a bit loud (being that it's at the level of my ear, and I'm less than a foot away from it. Maybe it's windows. I'm on win2000 server.
