Question

How do you modify the text of just one item in a set of Repeating Appointments?

I don't think you can. You first have to change the time of the one that you need to alter, even if it is by five minutes or so. Either the start or end time can be changed. You will be prompted about changing All, Current, Following, Cancel. Answer "Current." Now, this is no longer a repeating event and you can change the text all you want without effecting the others.

The other way to add info to just one of a set of repeating appointments is to add a note to it. Click on the text of the appointment - click on Details at the bottom of the screen - click on Note at the bottom of the next screen that appears - then a blank notepad will appear where you can add info. On your original screen, a little "note" will appear on the right side next to the original appointment. Now, if you already knew this, my apologies, but this is what I do to add info to regular appointments. If it's a matter of just modifying what shows on your daily screen, then the idea of slightly altering the times (beginning or end) that the previous responder suggested seems like an easy work around.
