Just received an email that HandyGPS is available for preorder at $139.99 thru 11/28/2000. What is the difference in features and services between the other GPS's?

The HandyGPS is strictly a passive GPS with no active content like Geode.

You can download maps from Nexians's site for free for a year, then according to them, $9.95 a year after that.

I have had mine since the beginning and am still very satisfied with it.

Will the HandyGPS work with other map applications like Quo Vadis?

Question Nexian MAVIDAL Comments

You stated that you have the GPS since the beginning. How long have you had the unit. Could you comment on :

a) Signal Reception
b) Is the software a silent type or will provided step by step directions.

As you are one of the lucky owners can you expand a bit in your experinces.

Question

Does it work inside of cars and/or buildings. It probably doesn't work in a building, but I would hope it works while driving.
