Just saw the latest springboard posted on for sale @ PALM HQ:

Step Keeper:

DOn't know if it's worthwhile, but may be just the thing for those who are counting calories as you walk.

SIncerely,

I guess it would depend on stride length though I'd probably wait for someone to review. The home page (from Japan) doesn't quite explain fully the capabilities of the module:

I'll wait and see. . .

Hmmm, does someone seriouly need a counter like this?

You can buy a dedicated one for so much cheaper... and if you dropped it while walking/running it wouldn't hurt as much!

Agreed. You can buy a stand alone model for cheaper-you'll just need to transfer the information manually. I like the ability to have the information transferred automatically to a database. Will be interested in a review of this product.

Step Keeper questions

I just received my new Step Keeper from Hagiwara - and I am enjoying it. It is a little module (the spring board that you carry around with you - so its really small to excersize with.

But I am wondering about the accuracy. One day I walked 13,000 steps and burned 942 calories and yesterday I walked just 10,000 steps and it says I burned only 300 some calories. Could there be a bug in this? I am confused. Anyone else have this trouble?
