What about a Multimeter module? Anyone know of any in the works?. It could act as a scope meter as well using the display. The module could ship with a protective case for the visor. like the rubber armor around popular Multimeters.
Really nice idea. Not thinking loads of sensors--just a freq. counter, DCV, ACV...
It's possible. Just might cost more than a regular one.

This was discussed here about a year ago. The concern was raised that it would have to be buffered within an inch of its life.
It is very easy to zortch a conventional multimeter by using probes plugged into jacks inappropriate for the meter setting.
Users would be not amused if it was equally easy to zortch one's Visor.
