 CAn't synch between OS 3.0 and 3.5 or 4.0

I have trouble beaming data to my friends with Palm OS 3.5 and 4.0. I have a visor with Palm OS 3.0. Please advie. Thanks.

soft reset
hard reset
remove batteries out for an hour
Call HS Tech for a replacement
