Palm Desktop causing Outlook Express problems??

Has anyone downloaded the new Palm Desktop for Handspring and had problems with Outlook Express? My Explorer will no longer recognize Outlook Express as a potential mail handler and no matter how hard I click, Express keeps losing the "Default Mail Handler" setting.

The only thing I know of that I've changed on my computer are to install the latest Desktop and that Chapura that came with it...

guess I'm rising to my own level of incompetence...
