Lightbulb If returning to PalmGear

In case anyone else here got it from PalmGear like me and is disappointed with it, PalmGear does have a 30-day return policy on all modules. Their site says:
*****
Returns: Springboard Modules orders may be returned within 30 days of receipt unless noted otherwise on the product details page. To return simply return to us at the address at the bottom of this page along with a copy of the original shipping list sent with the order. No RMA's required unless specifically noted on the products detail page!
*****
Note that's COPY of the shipping list, you'll want to keep the original for records and in case they screw it up.

As far as I know, it's okay if you opened the packaging as long as all the materials are still there and the modules okay.

I'd probably just live with it if the loading and resetting screens weren't so annoying or if the 16-megs memory could be used for something other than voice recording.

Hi for those who have this module, how's the range of recording?

Is it possible to record meetings/lectures

Or is it limited to just recording things coming from yoru mouth when you speak rite into the mic?

Can it at least record a two person conversation?

Thanks!

Question How useful is it?

Hi - I was wondering if there are any people out there using the ProRecord module at work. Is the quality good enough to dictate into and then e-mail the file to a secretary for transcription?

Also, as the previous poster was wondering, how is the quality for recording a lecture?

Thanks!

Response from Admobis

FYI, I shot an e-mail off to Admobis asking about an upgrade that would allow recording at different quality levels.

My e-mail:
Looks like a great module. Do you have any plans on building in the capability to record at different quality levels? To me (and if you check the Visor Central message board - http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...;threadid=20307), this is a critical ability. I would gladly take 4 hours of recording at a much higher quality.

Response from Admobis:
Hi Jeff,

Currently, the ProRecord only records at one level. Currently we do not
have any plans to offer different levels of recording. If requests like
yours and others continue we will gladly take a look into the request.

Regards,

John

Official review?

Seems like I'm not the only one with questions about this Springboard - how about an official VisorCentral review of the ProRecord module?
