After six hours over two days, I still can't get my USB cradle to sync with newly installed Outlook 2000. Error message says cannot connect. I've done all that Handspring says to do.
I've read the threads re: Win 2000....could this be the same problem? Where might I find the beta drivers?

Do you have windows 2000 installed? If you do, you will have to wait for the new drivers to be released.
If you are using Win 98, I can't help you.
If you are using Win95 or WinNT, you will need to buy the serial cradle or upgrade to Win98 or Win2000

Try another USB port if you have one. I just had the msg "could not establish connection" after many successful USB and serial hotsynchs. I switched the cradle connection to the other USB port on the PC and it worked (this was my husband's suggestion!). This was after I tried: 1) soft reset 2) disabling and reabling hotsynch manager, 3) restarting windows. Still no joy try reinstalling Palm Desktop with the hotsynch manager.
I have Outlook 2000 with Windows 98 and worked like a champ from the start.

I'm using Outlook 2000 and Windows 98 and syncing just fine. Use USB at home and serial cradle at work. No problems once I got it configured and set up. My original problems were solved by reading the Palm Mirror guide book and a little help from this forum. Look through previous posts -- there are some helpful ones!
