Question

I was just wondering what would be the best module to get if I want to back up my 2mb Visor. I also want to get more memory. I was thinking about getting the MemPlug but if I only have 2mb internal memory then wouldn't it be impossible to even load huge files from the smartmedia card. I really don't know how it works, so if anyone can offer suggestions I'd really appreciate it!

It depends on how your visor usage is right now. If you really, really want to be able to run more apps than your internal 2MB will allow, you might be best off getting an 8MB flash RAM module and using a sync-based backup solution (like BackupBuddy, et al). You'd be able to run apps off the module, getting greater functionality out of your visor.

The Backup module would be a bad investment for your scenario-- it's geared toward 8MB backups, and while it would back up your 2MB with no worries (I imagine), you would essentially be throwing away the remaining 6MB that was on the module. I don't own one, so if this is incorrect someone please correct me!

The MemPlug would be a great backup option for you, as you'd be able to get an 8MB SmartMedia card, use up 2MB of it on your backup, and have the remaining 6MB available for offline storage. If you look at your visor's contents and see a lot of programs that you don't use THAT often, but want to have available in a pinch, the MemPlug might be just what you need.

Hope that helped some!
