Question

I have a Dell Inspiron 3000 that I'm trying to get the Handspring sync running over the infrared port. I have the Infrared port set as irDA on Com 2.

Mouse - com 1, irq 4
infrared - com 2 irq 3
modem - com 4, irq 9

Every time that I try to tell it to go to com 2 is says it can't open the port.

I'm trying to beta test the irSync 1.5 program from Iscomplete.

Any suggestions?
(doh, they won't let me change the topic name)

Make sure that the infrared port is not disabled in the device manager..you might want to try a hyperterminal test on the port aswell.
