Hi, I read the review on your website but I still find it difficult to decide whether to get the 2MB or the 8MB. Money isn't the subject here. $249 for the Deluxe isn't a lot.

however, i don't want to buy something that will be useless to me. I need a PDA. That's for sure.

I need to store 500 contacts, < 50 addresses, about 300 emails and I want to be able to read webpages and eBooks. (also, can I put a dictionary into the Visor)

Extra: I want to connect to Internet wirelessly if possible.

Am I asking too much? Should I get the 2MB or 8MB version? Thanx!

If you want to use it for strictly contacts and appointments etc., get the 2MB. If you want to read eBooks, use the internet, and play games, go with the Deluxe. You will be hitting your head against the wall later if you go with the 2MB and can't put all your eBooks and games on there because all your memory is used up. I got the 8MB about 2 weeks ago and I have about 2MB left!

Hope this helps!
Peace

Cool

It's a no brainer, go with the Visor Deluxe, especially if money is no concern!! You said you want a dictionary, the ones I have looked can take up quite a bit of space, not an issue with 8 megs but will be an issue with 2 megs. I think you will quickly realize that these devices are anything but useless. I was like you and now that I have had it for 2 months, I don't see how I functioned smoothly without one. Throw your paper planner in the garbage and get a VDx!!!

Thanks for your help. I will get the Deluxe. I was thinking of getting the Pocket PC but I don't quite trust MS's portable OS.

I think the SpringBoard thing will be quite neat.

Don't let Foo hear that... I wonder why he hasn't shown up yet...[no offense meant!]
I second (or third?) the recommendation to get the Deluxe model. It started for me the same way ... I just wanted a PDA. Then I got used to reading ebooks, using AvantGO, writing Email etc. etc. ... I'm glad I bought the Deluxe!

Have fun,

mc9

Hehe...another question, can one really read a book off the Visor Deluxe?

Can I download eBooks from the net and transfer them to the Visor?

Thanx!

I find them a little tough to read...my eyes hurt after awhile. I need a visor with a colored screen. Did you hear me Jeff...I SAID COLOR.

Thumbs up

Just use the bold font setting. You'll have to page down twice as much, but so what.

As for a wireless modem for HSV, it's already announced, due in a mo. or 2.
