I want to sync everything when I sync to my desktop machine, since that's where I run my backup tapes from. But for my laptop machine, I really only want to sync the basics - address book, memo pad, to-do list, datebook. When I set this up in the HotSync manager (on my laptop), after I do a sync, it gets set back the way it was before. What do I need to change to get this to work?

When you make your settings in HotSync Manager under Custom, be sure to hit "Default" so it retains this setting with every sync.
