Strange problem...

For the past couple of weeks, I've had something strange happening with my Prism. Everytime I turn it on, it is non-responsive to stylus, finger, etc. It DOES respond to the pressing of hard keys. When I turn it off and then on again a second time, all works normally. I run a goodly variety of software on my FlashPlus enabled device and haven't been able to track it down to any program in particular. If anyone else has conquered this puppy, I'd like to know how. Thanks for any help...

I've seen this before, both on Deluxe and (less so) on Prism, but I haven't seen it lately - maybe the latest FlashPlus 2.1.0 release fixed this problem? See:

It could also be related to QuickBits and/or Afterburner and/or TrapWeaver, which I had been using when I did see the problem, but I can't prove this conclusively. Could also be related to type or number of hacks - does it happen with hacks turned off?

Thought I had the latest beta installed, but have reinstalled this one just to make sure. I thought it might have been the FlashPlus software, but I've never had this problem with it before.

Hmm...stopped running hacks awhile ago - due to problems with the automated use of JackBack. Hopefully, the reinstall of FlashPlus software will help. Thanks for the tip!

I have had a similar problem with a new Prism. I have reset the digitizer twice. Occasionally it does not respond until I repeatly tap and turn off the Prism. If it does it one more time back it goes.

You may want to hotsync to your PC to make a good backup and then do a hard reset of your Prism. If the problem goes away after resetting the Prism to its default condition, then you know that it is something in software on your Visor. One of my Sales guys was having strange problems on his Prism, and it turned out that his Datebook database was corrupt.

If you determine that the Prism works fine with no programs, Hotsync again to restore everything and start removing programs one at a time. You will find the culprit eventually.
