Is there anyone else for whom the presence of Springboard as an open interface specification was a selling point? I'm seen alot of people say that they thought Springboard was a place, but have not yet heard anyone mention it being the deciding factor in a Visor purchase.

I am a firm believe in open source software and open source hardware, and, when the time came for me to consider buying a palmtop, the Visor won hands down because it was the only one which had an advanced, open-spec architecture. My money will go to people who further the goals of interoperability, every time.

Am I the only one?

I, too, considered the Springboard a major factor in my buying decision. The thought of being able to pop in a module to do specific tasks at any given time does, at least in theory, make the Visor more usefull than an average PDA. If all i wanted was an organizer, I could have stuck with my tattered paper notes or bought a $20 electronic do-hickey from the local department store (I suppose I could have also bought a Palm... eeek!).

At the moment, I'm waiting for the SixPak from Innogear as it seems to have everything I'm looking for at the moment. Some of the other modules in the works seem appealing too.

Now, if they would only hurry up and get them to market...

YES... HURRY UP AND GET THEM INTO THE MARKET!!! I can't wait to buy them..
Does any know approx when will the sixpack come out to the market???

The InfoMitt has slipped from January to February/March. Innogear's schedule appears to place the release of the MiniJam next, and then the SixPak.

Given the above, I think that we won't see the SixPak until May at the earliest.

Anticipation is really building for those springboards . . . and the folding keyboard! I hope that when these products actually do get to market that the vendors have enough on stock. I'm hoping they've all learned Handspring's painful lesson!
