Question Help w/VoiceStream data in Baltimore!

I'm currently using the Nokia 8290 w/ VoiceStream service in the Baltimore/DC area. I've had service for the last year _without_ datastream. I was always able to connect to my isp (w/vdx) and everything was perfect. About six weeks ago I suddenly started getting "System Busy" (not "Operator Services") messages on my 8290 whenever I tried to initiate a data call. The kicker is that it only happens in Baltimore. I travel to Washington DC daily, and data service there works without a hitch. I've also recently traveled to Denver and was able to use make data calls there, too.

My question to everyone is whether I'm the only person having this problem in Baltimore?! I've been on the phone with VoiceStream every other day for over six weeks and I'm at my wits end. I've talked repeatedly to tech support, repeatedly to there "data support", and NOBODY seems to be able to help me. I was on the phone last night for two and a half hours! I don't think it's a problem with my service options because I've been told that I have "data free" and my data service works in other markets (DC, Denver) with no extra charges on my bill. I suspect its a network issue, but I can't get help from anyone at VoiceStream who agrees with me. I currently have a "Trouble Ticket" submitted, but this is the third time they've told me this.

Any help, advice, phone numbers will be sincerely appreciated. VoiceStream is a group of jokers, but I love the 8290 and have been happy with service up until this point.

Try calling this VoiceStream data service number (800) 256-9991 and if that doesn't help...

You'd might want to ask your question in the VoiceStream section of the HowardForums @ HowardChui.com

Members of the forum include CSRs within the technical support group who've helped me in far better detail than the normal call to customer care. Those members post frequently and have quick responses.
