Seems that the UBB upgrade eliminated the nice images in profiles/posts... oh, well, life goes on.

We are currently investigating the use of a new discussion board, that looks very much the same but offers a bunch of new exciting features.

If tests are sucessful you may see changes as early as tomorrow.

Hey Mark your right it was nice to have images in our profiles.
It really hurt me to see them go if you remember it only took you a week to help me figure out what I was doing wrong, and why I couldn't get Scooby Doo to appear

Marcus and James, I realize that you guys are trying to make a great thing greater and that you don't really owe us, but a "here's what we're thinking about, here's what you'll lose vs. here's what you'll gain, what do you guys think?" sorta thing would be nice. To me this site is kinda like a rented apartment. Sure the landlord can do what he wants with it, but it's nice to be asked before he paints all the walls. This is not a flame, mind you, nor will I likely move to another apartment building, but like everyone else, I really liked the pictures and I've always been a big proponent of the "if it ain't broke" philosophy.

Please give it a try and let us know what you like and dislike about it - since it is in php3 we can customize it 100%. Remember that all changes/posts etc you make in the new system will disappear when we make the final upgrade.

hkyslif: The ability to post pictures were a "bug" in the old system - we are currently working implementing that as a real feature of the new discussion board.

Pictures ARE supported in the new system by using the [img] tag in your profile "signature" section. I just hope everyone uses small, tasteful images so that the "priviledge" isn't taken away

If only my bookmark would take me straight to the "new" board instead of the "old" board (I "added to favorites" from the new board, but it keeps taking me to the old one). At least you can't miss the link to the new board!

Oh. It made a new bookmark but put it far from the old one. Duh...
