Question Digital Link "modem not found (0x1106)" error

Good part of the story:

So I got a Sprint PCS Wireless Web Digital Link and hooked it up to my Visor Prism. I love it! With the unlimited nights & weekends plan, it's like having an extra computer around the house, and who can't use that?

Bad part of the story:

I can't (use it) anymore. It just stopped working. I try to connect, either manually, or by launching an app that will require access. It will just say "Dialing Sprint PCS" and eventually time out, giving the following error:

"Error: modem not found (0x1106)".

If I fiddle with it for a while (turn it off and on, remove it and put it back in), I can get it to work once. But if I disconnect, and try to connect again, it will give the same error.

One more clue: once it happens, if I try to to switch to the phone mode and make a call, it will say "The Digital Link is in use by a data call. Would you like to disconnect the call?" It's like it thinks the modem's in use, even though it's not.

I checked and double checked my settings, and I believe they're correct, but who knows maybe I missed something.

I tried a hard reset and reinstall. No luck.

Maybe there's something simple I'm missing. Maybe it's just gone batty on me.

I searched the discussions for this same problem, and I couldn't find an answer. So now I pose it to you, the public.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Happy Holidays to everyone!

error message

I've had this problem but only a few times.(I'm using a Visor Deluxe)When I turn the DL off then on again it seems to reset and then I don't see this again for a while.Although I don't surf the web with it a whole lot.I think that some browsers work better than others though.I've had pretty good luck using the Avantgo browser.I didn't even know you could connect to the web using Avantgo until I noticed the "connect"tab under the options.Eudora seems to work OK but the older version of Blazer that came with the DL didn't seem to work to well.I can't run the lastest version of Blazer with the older Palm OS that the Deluxe uses. You can with the Prism though.Hope this gives you some ideas.I enjoy using mine a lot also...

Re: error message

Thanks for your suggestions. The problem has already gone away on it's own accord. Maybe it was just having a bad couple of days. (We're all entitled, right? )
