BaseJet with Sprint Digital Link

I just started to play with BaseJet e-mail client tonight, and I have to say it is pretty cool.

I set it up to sync directly with my Exchange server at work and I was able to send and receive messages without a "full" Hotsync. I get a SMS message informing me that new mail has arrived and replying or sending new mail is performed extremely quick with Sprint QNC. In the past, I had to dial into our RAS and sync my mail through normal sync process (we do not have Exchange setup for POP3 access).

Has anyone else tried this product yet? I have only had in installed for an hour or so, but I would like to know what others feel about it.

WOrks great with the Treo too. I like it a lot. I found the fact that .doc attachments are translated so smoothly to be very functional.

However, if your Inbox has lot of bloat (too much mail) it will cause the sync to get messed up. It is best to clear out as much mail as possible. I also wish that you could set the SMS message default so that it would not automatically dial in and sync when you get sent a SMS. I know you can turn off notification, but I want notification without having it dial in by default. I fear lots of airtime being used without me initiating the call at all.

Sending mail is great-- I am glad that it puts it in the sent mail folder like I was right there at the office.

... now if I could only get my data connection to connect more reliably.

RE: SMS- cant say about Spring, but with VoiceStream it is $2.99 for 500 Messages.
