Wow, hot stock.
Too bad I didn't get in when they were, say, $1/share.
Anyway, I've seen this link from time to time.
No device yet (not in stores, anyway).
I may have read a reviewer or 2 say they thought it was "too wide." (It looks 30 mm wider than a Palm or PPC, from the specs. Also 99 grams heavier.)
I can't help but notice there are no real "scale indicators" (like having it in someone's hand, in close-up, or next to a penny or something) to really give you an idea of its dimensions....

the dimentions are 127H x 103W x 22.5D (mm) or 5" x 4" x .9".

The LCD is 4". The specs sheet is here:

Yeesh, yes, I read the specs (else how would I have produced the ones I produced?).
Still, nothing says it quite like: "Look at this gizmo next to a familiar standard-sized object (like a penny, or a Pepsi can, etc.)."

Ok, a Pepsi can is 5" tall.
A quarter is a bit less than 1" in diameter.
An audio tape is a bit less than 4" (the long way).

So, the pc-ephone is roughly a pepsi by a tape by a quarter in size.

Sorry, the engineer in me instinctively thinks of rulers as being "familiar standard-sized objects".

LOL, I need that king of comparising more often... those inches drive me nuts...
When does the US finally switch over to Metric?? The rest of the world did (with a few exceptions..:rolleyes

Also I wonder why they didn't make it GSM compatible...
Now they can only market it in the US...

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?

BION, in college I delivered a paper enumerating the many reasons the U.S. should have gone / should go metric ... but a key part of the argument is that "people don't care how much a 'gallon' or a 'liter' is -- as long as they can see the bottle it's packaged in."
For better or worse, I think most people think more in terms of product standards than their actual measurements.
Anyway, I get your point, of course.

But it's *still* pretty handy to see a standard visual cue right in the same photo, eh?
