Cool

Visor prism and Platinum -
On the main screen, press the up arrow and tap and hold the battery icon (at the same time). It will show an expanded battery menu, including load, voltage under load, no load voltage, and a numerical % of full charge.

Exclamation

My visor draws about 1/2 watt (4xx mW) at the fully dim setting, and at fully bright, draws a full watt more (15xx mW). Interesting.

How did you get the reading to change? Do you have a Prism?

Adjusting the contrast doesn't change the battery easter egg reading for me. It's reading 125mW no matter where I put the contrast.

Turning the backlight on, however, makes it read 216mW.

Your must not be using a Prism. The Prism does't have a contrast bar, like the monochrome Visors, but a brightness one that draws more power depending on how bright it is set at. The monochrome units only have backlight on or off so two power settings really.

Question

Ryan, my Platinum has the same readings as yours. I wonder now what is the normal, or good reading. Just using this Easter Egg caused my battery to drop 10%. And, my average runtime, according to RunTime, is about 0d 10:08. Is this really low? Anybody? What should a healthy reading be? I have lots of apps and hacks, any one of which could be causing the drain. And, I do use my Visor alot. But, that should only affect the days of usage, not the hours, I would imagine. Is there a specific app that is notorious for causing power drains? Am I missing something?

TIA
