alarm clock app/sound question

I use a Visor Deluxe w/ Lucher III, BigTimePro, DateBk4, yaddy yaddy yaaa. I have tried several clock apps (no hacks yet) and nothing serves my purpose.

I'm looking for an alarm clock app w/ which I can change the sound.

Using DateBk4 as an alarm clock seems like it's going to be a PITA. I have changed settings in DateBk4 and in the "factory issue" Date Book and Date Book+ apps and they don't affect BigTimePro.

I've found sound hacks and will use them to change the system midi sounds but if I can't find an alarm that will make use of them. I posted here vice the software forum for a couple of reasons, neither of which IMO include stupidity.

WTFO?!?

BigClock

You may want to try BigClock By Jens Rupp. This GNU/GPL software will let you make custom alarms.

I second that. BigClock is awesome. Not to mention it is FreeWare.

There is also clock+ but it's not freeware. Unlimited alarms (I think) with multiple types of repeats (certain days of the week, end dates for alarms etc). Lots of cool features. If you can't tell, I love it.

I auditioned bigclock and clock+. Bigclock is good, it's free, I like it. Clock+ is better, I like being able to assign the sounds. I use GeekSounds v2.0 for now. Pinkpanther (long version) works.

Thanks for the advice!

Unhappy BigClock alarms not audible

I have BigClock installed.
And I have programmed the alarms and have heard them test okay, but when they are set and go off, the alarm is visible (on the screen) but they are NOT audible.

Do I have to disable something in order to make them audible?

I can't figure this one out.

Under Settings>Alarms make sure that "No Sound" is not selected for each of the alarms

Make sure that you have not turned it off in the OS preferences.

From Launcher III, hit the DropDown Menu Button and go into APPS, then choose Preferences. Now in the upper right hand corner switch to General. Make sure that Alarm Sound is NOT set to OFF.

Let us know if this works, if not, maybe we can find something else.
