Exclamation SOS I need WinXP Pro Startup disk..!!! I'm sorry

I apologyze for posting here but I'm desperate right now. I was trying to create a partition for Win 98 with Partition Magic 7.0 in my XP PC and I have messed up everything. I can't start up my PC. I don't know what to do, but I guess I need the startup disk for XP pro, which I don't have.

PLEASE ANYBODY SEND ME THE FILES TO:

[email protected]

God Bless you

Alberto

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?

A startup disk is machine specific so one that I or someone else were to create would not work on your computer.
Sorry,

ok this is my horrific story of the last 2 weeks with Partition magic screweing things up....

I was using vrs 6.0 running in DOS, trying to redo my Window 2000 partition sizes (wanted more room for mp3's programs etc...)

PQMagic crashes while resizing, saying that when it lsot some clusters, it was too big of an error to recover from - thanks!

Comptuer's dead- won't boot, but running a win 98 dos boot disk (gives me the chkdisk command and fdisk I deperatly need) I find out all my data is safe - THANK GOD. That's the start of it.. So to fix this problem I end up installing 2k on a small 1 gb hard drive that I had laying around, and I thought soon I would burn my data on some CD's, and that would be the end - (well I would reformat that drive pq screwd up...)

BUT it wasn't the end. That 1 gb drive caught fire last night. Not a good thing. So I lsot that drive permanantly... When trying to make my drive boot, I had worked a lot with the mbr - so I went back in to PQMAGIC, and I made some new primary partitions, and changed some. I reinstalled 98, upgraded to 2k, bad install. Format C:, reinstall 98 and here I am - on a 3 year old OS when I have 2k server sitting on my lap here.. later I'l upgrade again...

SO WHAT DO TO AND NOT TO DO....

I couldn't get my ocmptuer to boot, I don't know if you will - I spent 5 days trying to get it to boot....

Try creating a small new partition and install xp again (use hte same number ) and than get your data off that drive, reformat and reinstall everything. Well it's drastic, but after 2 weeks of hell, and the stress of other things I didn't care. You ahve probably LESS time on your hanads, and can't spend 5 hours every night until 2 am trying to fix things...

damn pqmagic - I still like it though

If you have your CD rom, you can put it into someone else's computer and create a boot disk for XP. They don't have to be running XP on their system. I would also suggest contacting Microsoft about the problem. Was your disk damaged or lost? Or perhaps your copy of XP Pro isn't exactly a retail version, if you know what I mean...

Win98 start up disks are not machine specific try to find one of those.

xP (pro or home) doesn't make start up disks. I think.

You can boot from the CD-ROM as long as that is set to "on" in your BIOS. You can download the floppy image from Microsoft.
Pro version:
