JUST because it was posted on April 1st, doesn't mean that it's not real.

Teh thing that gives it away is the first letter of each sentance :-D

Pretty good!! I got really excited till I realized what today was.

Did anyone see the commercial during the Saturday night NCAA tournament?

It was a guy representing the tabbaco industry saying that because of health concerns they where issuing cigarrete recall. The screen fades to black and in white letters appear APRIL FOOLS.

You can view the commercial at www.thetruth.com.

Cool

Thanks! It was hard coming up with bullet points. And kudos to Marcus for the great images.

I'm going to move this to the Article Comments forum.

Question And what REALLY gets me . . .

What really kills me is that some guy on usenet posted this article and SWEARS it's true.

Well, it was on the internet, so it *MUST* be true.

:P

Talking Nice tradition

This is becoming a nice tradition. I've been fooled in previous years, but this year I logged in just to see what this year's fake article would be. Nice pictures and great article. With what Jeff Hawkins said recently, this was almost plausible.

Unhappy MacOSX and Visor

I'm bitterly disappointed. I was really going. Had completely forgotten the date. Duh.
But it may be an idea whose time has come.

Would a thousand prostrations bring it about?

Wink I went "wow"

Goshdarnit James, you got me. Big time.

I am really feeling sheepished being had. Think I am going to doodle with my new Prism for a while. No, I won't tell anyone in this part of the world that I have been had. At least not those who get on to visorcentral.com consistently.

You're good.

Talking <--not had

I can honestly say that I wasn't fooled for an instant, but I was drooling nonetheless. Notice the movie being played in the screenshot is 4.1 Meg, also.

Oh poooooh!

Didn't even dawn on me what day it was. Sent the link to a friend who was a Newton user for a long time.

Being the major Mac person that I am, I wanted to believe... Also, not having even a bit of programmer in me, I had not clue if it was possible or not, lol.

Good job! but then I am known for being gullible .

An article not that far off

I found a quick article about an Apple PDA at http://www.themacmind.com/cgi-bin/n...gi?id=986091781 it's short, and please ignore the April Fools prank that is the banner, they forgot to take it down as of post time.

Congrat's! You made it on today's Macintouch:

http://www.macintouch.com

"April Fool's joke or garden-variety rumor? - VisorCentral claims that Apple and Handspring are working on a OS X variant called NewtonX, to be rolled out as a Springboard module for the Visor in July. "

If you make it there, you can make it anywhere...

Actually, this is a great idea, to have Apple make a Newton Springboard (minus OSX, perhaps). That would keep all of the Newton Users still happy until that day Apple brings it back.
