Question

So now I know why my IVD kept giving me these fatal errors: It does not work with the enhanced IR package from Palm.

Problem is: I used GSM-tool with my old Palm IIIx and my Motorola Timeport cell phone, but that prog will only work with the IR package or OS 3.3

Of course, my Visor has OS 3.0 and is not upgradable...

Any ideas how I could solve this problem?

Your Visor has OS 3.1H. You're probably in the wrong screen (eg. the application launcher is 3.0).

Search the boards. Apparently, one just needs to run IrLink 1.5 with the appropriate software, but I personally haven't done it since my phone doesn't support Ir.

P.S. The FAQ will be updated. There are more and more North American phones becoming available that DO support Ir. You Europeans are definitely ahead of us on this point, however.

Thumbs up

Thanks!
I downloaded IR Link 1.5 and was able to check my email via InfraRed => Motorola Timeport. Cool! Unfortunately, my 30day trial license of GSMTool has run out while I was trying to figure out how to use the IR Port, so I do not know whether that Prog works with IR Link yet.

But I am so happy that I can at least check / send email via cell phone!

Once again, thanks!
Ron
