Schedule backups with Backup+

Using the Backup Module, you get the most failsafe and simple backup of your Visor possible. But if you forget to backup your PDA for a couple of days, the info that the backup module contains quickly becomes outdated. Backup+ to the rescue.

Exclamation AMAZING!

I'm almost willing to say that this is the best piece of software that I've bought for my Visor--EVER!

If you have a backup module, get this thing. The faster backup speed is alone worth the price. I won't even be using it for scheduled backup! Once I read that Backup+ clocked in under two minutes, I bought it. I figured the price was so low that even if it wasn't very good it was worth a try. Don't let the absence of a demo discourage you from trying this out. It's really worth it.

...I'm trying not to gush. But after watching the backup meter move across the screen at a quick clip and waiting under two minutes for a backup, it's hard not to! I backup every day on the module, and it's always been a pain in the rear because it takes so long. I'm used to 10-minute backups ...but now it's so fast I almost enjoy backing up.

Try it! You won't regret it!

Question Backup+ and Hagiwara Backup/8MB Flash Module?

Any idea if Backup+ works with the Hagiwara Backup/8MB Flash module?

The FAQ on HandFort's website only mentions compatibility with Handspring's backup module. However, the Backup screen on my Handspring module looks exactly the same as the screenshot from VC's review of the Hagiwara module:

Naturally, having the same screen appearance doesn't mean it's the same software but I can hope, right?

Kirrha,

I can't say for sure. Try looking up the "About Backup" menu option in the backup software that comes with your module. I suspect the software is licensed from Handspring, and if so, a Handspring display screen with the version info should appear. If it is licensed from Handspring, my guess is that Backup+ should work.

Also, try writing to Handfort. They were pretty quick to reply the last time I wrote to them.

Let us know what you find.

How big is the program? Memory is at a premium on my Prism. Thanks.

Arrow Backup+

It is 51K on my Visor Deluxe. I went ahead and bought it even without the demo based on the speed of the backups and the fact that it can backup unattended.
