I use the 16mg Hagiwara
Hey Lorraine no one answered your post! I hate that. I still have three unanswered with a ton of view. Oh well.
I use the 16mg Hagiwara and for the most part have been completely satisfied. Basically it is like your internal ram. U have to move files from the internal to the card. When you stick the card in you get a program called file mover. Just do not move the database portion (ie the part that gets written to when you add records). It is sort of trial and error on some programs and hacks.
I keep all my games, utility programs (ones I refer to now and then), photos, and ebooks. I use Actions Names alot so I just copy it over there for backup purposes, but keep it in the main ram.
Use backup buddy! This backs up your Visor and the stuff on your flash card. It will not restore the files to your card in the event of a crash, but you will have a directory folder of those items and you can restore them a group at a time (u have to move them to the Visor then move to the card then go and select another group...this is only if u have a complete melt down).
One key thing is to leave (I leave between 2-3mg) some free ram on the internal Visor. The file mover needs this to do its transfer. The only times I had the flash card want to reformat was when I had very little interal memory available and tried to move a huge file.
