Xircom 56K modem battery terminals

Hello:

I just bought a Xircom SpringPort GlobalACCESS 56 Modem off Ebay, and I was wondering if someone could confirm how many battery terminals should be on the modem. The terminals are the rectangular, metal pieces on the modem, near the clip.

I see 4 slots, but my modem has only three of the metal pads.

The modem works fine, but I was just wondering if a terminal is missing I was looking at a StarTac battery pack and it had 4 terminals.

Thanks,
David

I believe you'll find that 4th terminal on rechargeable batteries.

MarkEagle: So, the modem should have only three terminals?

Thanks.

That would be correct because I don't think the module allows recharging. You can use rechargeable batteries, but they have to be recharged outside of the SpringPort.
