I just got an email from Innogear announcing a new MP3 player - it doesnt seem to be a module though - or is it?

Doesn't look like a module...I did notice that it says the digital camera add on won't be available until late December. Who wants to start a pool on the actual date? I've got next September...

Well, don't know about 640x480, but there is capability for flash...

"128MB of built in Memory PLUS a slot to insert your own Smart Media Card to bring memory up to 256MB of storage - that is over 5 hours of music!"

So grab a 128MB Smart Media Card and you can probably capture TONS of 640x480 pics...

And you can even store it in its internal memory, so 256MB of mp3 and pics is more than enough, I think.

So - are you gonna 'steal' a bunch of these and peddle them on VC like the Minijam?

Question What??

What do these things have to do with the Visor? And why would they sell them at PalmGear.com?

Dunno what they have to do with the visor?
As far as Palmgear - maybe they are expanding to all things that fit in the hand?

Too bad they don't allow the use of the IBM microdrive. YOu could put a Gig in that thing.

And did you catch the size though???

2 inches by two inches? That means that picture is life size.

*PLEASE NOTE: Digital Camera Add-On available in late December

Hmm, December of what year? Maybe 2008, about the same time the Six-Pack becomes available, they implement support for e-books on the Minijam, and hell freezes over?

usonian2001,

They have support for ebooks and always have - if your goal in life is to thrash Innogear, wouldnt it be nice to at least do your research?

It depends on what you mean by "supports". If you mean that the software loaded on the MiniJam can read e-books stored in system memory, then yes, you are correct. But MiniJam was supposed to be able to allow the user to store e-books on the MMC Cards. This function was never actually implemented.

Thank you, critic. That is what I was referring to. While I have in the past made negative posts about Innogear, I wouldn't go so far as to call it my goal in life. I am just skeptical of new products from a company that never bothered to finish features that were promised for a previous one.

Had problems with my Soundsgood so went to the Innogear site to buy a minijam but got swayed to buy their Mpio player instead - I will let you all know the scoop on it as soon as I get it.

Yardie,

I bought it yesterday morning and requested two day shipping and received an email by noon that it was processed:-)
- If I am lucky I should receive it Satarday or Monday. I will post my first impressions as soon as I play a bit with it.

MPIO overview

Sorry it took awhile, but wanted to really play with it before I gave you my feedback.

My first impression on the DMG when I opened the box is that it is very small, the picture on the website doesnt really give you a good idea about how small it is - maybe they should have someone holding the player in a hand to show you. Anyway I am happy with how incredibley small it is. Second impression was that is is very light, so light that I felt it may be cheaply made, it only took me a couple hours playing with it to deceide that it was not a cheaply made product.

The player has USB so the downloading was very quick, I downloaded about 20 songs and there was still enough room for many more.

I bought this player for the Music, but when I tested the voice recorder I was really supprised and how easy and good it sounded - I actaully find myself useing it while driving or for those instant thoughts I get far too often.

As far as the camera add-on, I probaly wouldnt purchase it unless it was very low cost, I am sure it wont be that high quality and since I have a very nice Sony camera I just dont need another camera.

Would I purchase one again? Well actually I will be since my wife absolutly loves it. Would I recommend it? Absolutly.
