Question

I'm ready to purchase a modem for my VDx. Any suggestions? I don't need wireless. Any reason to upgrade to Plt or Prism? Also, I have a Motorola Timeport and Verizon wireless -- should I go that route? The main function will be to retrieve corporate e-mail, though browsing would be a plus.

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Without a doubt

Thinmodem plus. If you're going to pay 119 or around that for the thinmodem four $40 you get 8MB flash ram....Even if one gets the memplug like I plan to in a month or so you could still store a lot of web apps on the module so they don't clutter up internal memory.

Thumbs up Xircom Springport 56

Xircom has a $30 rebate on the $119 Xircom Springport 56 modem. You might want to check it out.

Another vote for the Thinmodem or Thinmodem+. The form factor was one of the major reasons I chose this. Works in any case.

Thinmodem+ here.

Form factor was an issue for me, and having another 8MB Flash doesn't hurt. I have the FullCharge batteries, and I figured that if I was near a phone line, I would also be near a power outlet, so drawing power from the Visor batteries was not a problem for me.
