Check out the latest Visor review from IDG.net.

As answer to the reviewer's query at the end of the review, the world definitely needs the Visor!

Red face

karahari,

You're still around?

I had thought you ran away when you were found out.

Just in case anyone is unaware:

karahari has some kind of grudge against Visors/HandSpring.

ka"r"ahari started his life on this web site by impersonating a person that had just posted some praise and first impressions about his newly arrived Visor.

karahari (in the guise of kalahari) said that he had changed his mind. That the Visor was cheap, and that he was sending it back.

The next day karahari again tried to fool us, by pretending that he loves his new Visor, and posted a very negative review(battery life less than 1 day, screen worse that a palm III, color looks like a toy...), worded to sound like a positive review.

I doubt this guy has even ordered a Visor.

Now he's up to his old tricks again, posting a link to a very negative review, lying by calling it "the latest Visor review", and still pretending he likes Visors.

I believe in free speech, but it's not right to pretend to be one thing, when in fact you are the exact opposite.

karahari,

I would love to be able to quote your original post - the one where you decided to take the name of a happy Visor owner, and try to make it look like you did not like the Visor. Unfortunately I can't. Either the good people that control this board, or perhaps you, have deleted your initial post.

Not to worry, your malicious intent can be seen in the responses that are still there.

For whoever may be interested, please look at the thread called "Visor's Arrived" started by "Kalahari". Scan down the posts and you will see a post from the legitimate kalahari saying that we shouldn't be too hard on karahari, and later a post from ChrisB that I quote here:

"Huh - I thought Karahari was Kalahari having a good joke with all of us. Oh well. It was still funny. I didn't think that sinking feeling in my stomach was all that funny when I read Karahari's first post, but I'm over it now."

Here's what I can quote, taken directly from your topic called (and I quote) "I love my visor!!! Awesome!"

This is an excerpt - taken in context - from your loving comment, and again I quote:

"I am, however, sooo happy. Mine is in ice blue. I'm already on my second set of batteries.

As for the screen, it's not as good as a palm v's lcd but close to palm III's. You can still see seperation between pixels.

Its the size of a palm III. The only thing that sucks is the weak stylus and the old-palmpilot pro-style up/down buttons."

Close quote.

In this same topic I asked you to prove you had actually received a Visor.
Knowing your history, I doubted it - and still do. I said (and I quote once again)

"Prove yourself. There must be something that came in the box (with your Visor) that nobody that hasn't gotten one yet would know about.

Perhaps the size/color of the warrantee card?
The number under the bar-code on the box?
The address on the "postage paid" registration card?"

Close quote.

sluggo, the first member of this board to actually own a visor asked you two questions that you should have been able to answer (if you weren't a liar). You choose to ignore both of us.

Your intentions are clear. Your deceit obvious. Your intelligence questionable.
Even your own profile still labels you a liar!

Find a new hobby, you're not very good at this one.

sdavida,

Yeah, this KA"R"AHARI guy(?) is starting to piss me off. I find certain comments of his unbelievable such as saying he's on his second set of batteries after one night. Also, stupid statements like saying the Palm III's screen is better. I think he's just going out of his way to put the Visor in a bad light.

I wish he'd get lost or at least use another handle that makes it clear that he is a Liar.

I'm still very happy with my Visor.

And, if you read the review, the guy trashes the Visor and sounds like he's about 13 years old.

Unbelievable - that guy needs to get a job or something. How about not responding to this topic anymore - giving him pleasure for wasting our time.

Karahari, that "article" is over a month old. And I also read the topic where you posed as another user and said that the Visor sucked, even though you never attempted to prove otherwise. We deleted your posting from there. I also checked some of your other postings. Most of those have been removed as well.

As such, I am going to close this topic. I am leaving it readable so those who have not read Dan Brody's column will have the opportunity to read it.
