Memplug Update works great on Hagiwara 16MB module

Hi,
I successfully updated to Memplug version 1.4 using the following steps.

I went to the Memplug website.
I removed my Memplug from the Visor to look at the serial number
I put my 16MB RAM module in to look something up
I downloaded the Flash update and synched it to the Visor.
I ran the MyUpdate program and marvelled how smoothly it went-no fatal errors.
Reset the Visor and brought up the PiMover program and found the module was not "formatted" correctly.
Looked up at my desk and noticed the Memplug sitting there.

So I have discovered that the Memplug update will write to the Hagiwara module. The module no longer works. I hope that Hagiwara has a flash program available to install File Mover. The Handspring File Mover update doesn't work with the 16MB module.

Just thought I would share my "Stupid Things I've Done to my Visor"

Brian

Hi Brain,

Memplug updater is uniquely designed for Memplug family product.
Force this updater to update other Springboard module will mean completely replace the function and software of the corresponding module. The module will loss its function unless it is identical to memplug.

PIT will not responsible for any data or function loss with this miss-use of our updater.

In the meantime, I think you need to contact Hagiwara support, to get a new updater for your 16Flash Module.
