Question recovering app after hard reset

For the first time since I got my VDx(almost 3 years!), I had some weird problems after I forgot to change the batteries and lost everything. I figured 'no problem, I've got backup buddy'. Only problem is when I restored, it would prompt me to reset, after which I'd get a Fatal Exception. After hard reset, it seemed to work fine, but I really didn't want to lose my address and datebook info... So I diddled around, getting some help from searches here, and got back address and datebook info. I even managed to restore most of my apps successfully (not even pretending to be a power user here). The one that's got me stumped is 4T Nox. I can get it and my data back, but 4T Nox acts as if it's not been registered. I can't find my registration key anywhere, and www.fortsoft.com is just a blank page...

Does anyone have any suggestions? I can export the data to memopad, are there other apps similar to 4T Nox that might be able to read it back in?

Thanks in advance!

The registration code was probably stored on your device in the Saved Preferences. I wonder if those were backed up during a HotSync... do you have a System conduit in your HotSync Manager and, if so, was it set to Synchronize the Files? (I think System includes Preferences.)
