Question

I was wondering if you folks think the Visor would be able to share the PalmIII's sync cradle? I know they're gonna use different data busses, but I can always pray that there'll be some type of translater built in.
The reason I ask is 'cause my roomate already has a PalmIII, and I'd hate to have to have two different cradles sitting on the desk.

I don't think the cradles will be interchangable, since the Visor has eight connecter pins (and is a USB port) while Palm has 10 (a serial port).

The cradles are NOT interchangable. Read the ZDNET review/feature from today (9/14). They had to make the connection for the Visor USB all the way from the unit through the cradle in order to take advantage of the speed of USB.

Question

What about the serial port option, though? A different cradle? I'm not saying compatibility between the cradles, but there must be something going on that ... er, I've been too lazy^H^H^H^Hbusy to read about in the specs.
