O.K. I figured having had my Visor now for a few weeks,I'd finally give the "silent alert" feature a try.

Having an important, early morning appointment, the night before, I set an alarm for 5:30 am, went into Datebk+, and set alarm on. Then (diligantly following the instructions), I went into "alarm preferences", and set it to Silent.

Well, I gotta tell you... I SLEPT right through the damn thing!!!

Seriously... does anyone really use this feature? My Visor Edge is either in my pocket, or on a table. Unless I were in a movie theater, and the Edge was in a shirt pocket, with the bottom pointing up, I doubt I'd really see it....

Anyone use this feature???

One comment - I hope you're being sarcastic when you say you slept through the silent alarm.. If I have to I'll point out the obvious flaw in your logic... Just teasing... but the silent alarm definetly doesn't do any good if you don't have your Edge in a position where you can keep your eye on it.

Personally, everytime I go to a meeting, the bathroom, or even a movie I toggle the silent alarm. I set alarms for events *all over the place* .. so many that I can't keep track. I do this because it keeps me from forgetting to do anything. Then when I'm out of my meeting, or I leave the theater, I toggle the alarm back on.

Personally I love it... I just wish they'd incorporate IR beaming into DB+. Every time I want to beam an event to my wife's Deluxe, I have to enter DB... which I never use.

Sorry, I meant matias, no "h." They make the Halfkeyboard, Here's the site:

http://www.halfkeyboard.com

And there's also an excellent review from VisorCentral.

The more I think about it, the more I want it: what better way to take notes while you're reading a book, you can take notes without even taking your eyes off the text! Dang!

Ahh... that too I definetly would love. I sent an email to them right after the review came out from Visorcentral. They said they have no plans to make an Edge-compatible version...

What? I don't have the email here, but I seem to recall thinking something different. Man, any more bad news about my edge and you can start looking for my posts in the "Marketplace" section of Visorcentral.

So now the race is on... who will get a Edge keyboard out first - Matias with the half keyboard or Thinkoutside with the stowaway keyboard?

PHEW! I was getting worried there! October, huh? I can wait for that. Hopefully, it won't get pushed back!
