Question

I had someone recently break my visor by dropping it on the floor like an idiot. For all of you who want to know, the LCD replacement is 75$ plus shipping both ways. Anyway, to prevent any further damages, i was wondering if anyone knows of the best case(around $30) for it, I researched the rhino but saw no studies. Anyone have the Rhino 1100 case and have actually tested or seen an article testing it? Thanks a lot( I don't want to hafta spend 100 for the Ti, but if cars can run-over it maybe )

Thumbs up

I have the 1100 that I bought for my IIIx. The IIIx has been returned and a BVD has been ordered. Of course, I haven't tried the BVD with the 1100, but I have been told that it will work.

Now, for the case...

1. A no-frills cordura zipper case.

2. fit and finish seem to be just fine.

3. it has elastic straps that hold the unit in place. I wouldn't buy anything that made me put velcro on my machine.

4. The plastic insert is pretty thin. I could see it protecting against a puncture, but not a full impact.

5. it will fit in your pocket, but it looks ridiculous. Too bad cargo pants are going out of style.

6. The belt loop has a snap so you don't have to take your belt off to thread it.

7. The belt loop is a loop itself, so if you unsnap it, you can 'hang' the case from your belt.

8. Look at the pictures at rhino's site. If you like what you see, buy it. Their pictures are a good representation of what you get.

9. Order it from www.outpost.com for free shipping about a $5 savings.

10. No I don't work for outpost.com. That's just where I got mine from. I ordered it at midnight and had it at 11:00am the next morning.

They overnighted me a new screen for my broken visor. No charge.
