My question is about getting my e-mail I have AOL and I am not sure how to get my mail on my visor. I do not have a modem for my visor (yet) I don't know if that matters or not.

I'm currently going through this too, here's what I've learned. You can already synch the email that you've downloaded onto your PC via the Mail app that comes with your Visor. You need to make sure you set up the default MAPI client on your PC and handheld correctly, however.
To download your email directly to your Visor you (naturally) need a modem for it. You also need 3rd party software to manage your email. If you do a search at Palmgear HQ (or this site) there are various mainstream and shareware apps for this. I chose MultiMail III (I couldn't find Proximail).
If you want to be able to read attachments to your email like MS Word or Excel files on your Visor, you need yet another app (like Documents To Go from DataViz) that will create a version of MS Office and other documents for viewing on the handheld.
Hope this helps you.

AOL's e-mail kinda sucks, you HAVE to use AOL's e-mail reader to access it. Currently AOL for the Palm only supports modems. There are redirect utilities that let you use a cradle as a modem but they won't work with the USB cradle. I would say your best bet is signing up for free e-mail like Yahoo.
