Are you happy with your Visor?

Are you satisfied with the Visor/Visors that you have, or do you wish you had another, better device?

I would say a qualified 'no'. This is mostly due out of current frustration with Handspring's tech support in trying to achieve a permanent solution to the Edge digitizer issue. Were it not for that issue, I would be 90% satisfied with my Edge. The 10% remaining would be due to thinking that it would be nice to have an integrated Springboard, color, and higher resolution in a similar form factor, although I realize that would be unlikely today.

I would say an unqualified "Yes". I needed a PIM, I got an excellent PIM. I also gain a variety of novelties, including wireless web and games. I also discovered assorted different uses for it, such as taking notes and keeping my journal. 100% satisfaction, and no burning desire to upgrade, which is a borderline heretical statement in this upgrade-happy tech world we live in.

unqualified "YES". Everything can always be better. There may be times I get frustated by the pace of development but I'm doing more now than I expected to. Moved to a Prism when they came out and gave my deluxe to my wife.

I'm waiting for some new color device so I can do even more though.....

I'm ready for a new product as a replacement for the Prism, but there is none to be had.

You bet. I originally bought a Deluxe the first few days after they came out and was very happy with it. I saw the Prism, acquired that, and have been very satisfied with it in combination with a FlashPlus, Kopsis VFS software, Stowaway, and Slipper case. Don't go anywhere without it and depend on it daily.

A qualified yes about my prism. My only beef is with its, well, beefiness - it's kind of a brick. A higher res screen would also be nice (ala the new CLIEs). But on the whole I'm very happy with it.

a Unqualified "Yes sire bob". I started with the deluxe and returned it three time and the last return ended with the Edge. I am so happy with the edge, beside the accessory support, but all in all i love it and use it constantly i mean almost addicted to it. my girlfriend hates it now cause i use it while we are talking..she aint saying anything anway

Well, let's put it this way:

Before I got my Deluxe, I never thought I'd use it for too much. However, now that I've used it for about 8 months, you couldn't pay me to give it up--except if you were offering to buy it from me (so I could upgrade to color).

Dang straight I am! At work, they call me the Visor Evangeliser (not really, but it sounds good.) I've managed to get my office to get plain Visors for the whole 15 person team, and so far, two users ended up buying their own Platinums as a result. I can't wait for a new high-end color model so I can give my Ice VDX some well-deserved rest.

Arrow 99% satisfied

I am 99% satisfied with my Visor Prism. The 1% dissatisfaction issue is the form factor mentioned above. I WILL upgrade the minute that Handspring coem out with a color unit that is a bit "sexier". I like em thin!.

Thumbs up Happy, but want to be happier...

Perfectly happy with my VDX w/ a flashplus and VFSHelper....

...but I'd be even happier with a new high-res color Visor...

Was extremely happy with my Prism, when it first came out.
Best Color Screen at the time.

Was extremely happy when the memplug came out.
A 64Meg SM Card can hold alot of palm apps.

Now ....
Still happy with my Prism, but they better have a new
color model soon, or I may have to breakdown and buy a
Sony Clie. If they could combine the best features
from Sony and Handera into a new Prism, I would be
back to being extremely happy :-)

I LOVE my Visor Deluxe. I wish I could think of a great pet name ofr it besides calling it my 'external brain pack'.

I got it while I was going through a major geek attack and wanted a good electronic PIM. I was about ready to get a Sharp Wizard when I stumbled on the Handspring site through Ask Jeeves' site (www.ask.com) I almost turned away because of the cost ($250, $50 rebate at the time!)

As I researched it, however, I realized I cold leave my calculator, watch (I hate wearing watches, so I was wearing it as a belt-clip watch) with timer/alarm/stopwatch, Franklin Bookman unit, GameBoy Pocket, and so on at home. With a couple simple used module purchases, I can also leave my Walkman and digital camera home as well.

Wow! For $200, I had just obseleted about $250 worth of other electronics I was lugging around- more depending on how many GameBoy cartridges you count, and even more if you add the GameBoy Camera.

Complaints? Like any other good geek, I get ticked but philisophical when prices plunge after you buy something like this.

Otherwise, my only issues are about accessories, and that is mostly trying to wade through the millions of options and figure out what to get!
