Angry

i was happily using palm desktop 4.0 with the handspring visor platinum over usb on a win2k pro machine (IBM t21 laptop). i was also using starfish truesync to sync with my motorola phone. all was well until i 'upgraded' to windows whistler beta 2 and now hotsync fails...it starts, then syncs a few things and then just dies. anyone else using windows xp/whistler beta 2 with a visor over usb??

I don't have XP loaded up yet, so I haven't tried this myself, but you might want to re-install the PALM desktop and starfish software if you haven't already done so.

whistler beta 2

reinstalled EVERYTHING. still, i can only hotsync successfully one out of five times. the other times, the handheld says connection was lost to the computer. also, avantgo and vindago seem to be lost as well.

Try deleting the USB port and Handspring USB stuff under XP. Make sure that the Visor is plugged into the docking cradle and then reboot the machine. That might do the trick. Again, I haven't tried this myself so...
