Well, yesterday was the first time I've flown since getting my Magellan on Sunday, and I must say that it worked flawlessly in the air! I was using in conjuction with FlyingPilot (www.gpspilot.com), so I had moving map sectional, exact milage, ETE, etc. to each of the nav points on my trip. I was concerned that the GPS might not be able to hold a signal because of the speed of flight, or maybe the wing blocking satellites during a turn. Not a chance, it didn't matter where I stuck it after getting the fix, it was 3D locked and incredibly accurate (speed in knots and altitude too). It was fun when the tower asked how far out I was to tell him, "Cessna 68 Alpha Charlie is 6.7 miles East of the field". <smart alleck GPS owner> Anyway, if any other pilots out there are considering the Magellan, go for it! Coupled with the FlyingPilot software it's an unbeatable combo.
