Question Should I wait?

I am looking for a new pda. I have a Vdx for 2 years now and am looking for an upgrade. I want memory expansion and color. Should wait for handspring or move to sony? I am worried that handspring will disappoint again with a new color device. I'm looking for some advice...

I've also been a VDX user for 2 years now. I was wanting to upgrade to a color model, and currently the Sony seems to be the best deal going. However, I've also invested in several Springboard modules.
I'm planning to wait until next year to see what Handspring comes up with since I'm doing fine with my Visor (except for all those darn cracks in the case!) Color is the ultimate upgrade for me at this point.

My brother-in-law got a Sony, and he likes it. Memory stick is cool too if you're a Sony person. If you must have color now, then go for the Sony. At the current rate of things, the prices may be dropping for the Christmas sales...you might get a great deal.

The color Treo supposedly has a new kind of color screen. I'd like to see that in a Visor or Edge form factor with 16MB....that's what I'm waiting for.

It really is a decision that you have to make for yourself. I just recently got the Clie760 after parting with my Prism. I love it. Everytime I pick it up, it amazes me. Of course, my Prism did the same thing when I got it.

If you have a ton of money tied up in SpringBoard modules, wait and see. They cannot do anything but get better and cheaper. Then, if HandSpring disappoints, make a move.

If you feel you have to upgrade now, I would say you cannot go wrong with the Sony. I love mine.

Sonys new color model looks sweet but I will never be a slave to the memory stick. If it used smartmedia then id have it. I dont think anything else uses that silly stick other than sony. With smartmedia you can use the card for cameras, pdas and whatever. Ill be snatching the color treo when it comes out. I bought the vdx when it came out, then I sold it when the prism came out, now ill sell my prism when the treo comes out. All i know is that im gonna be so broke.

promoter, what are you going to do w/ your Springboards? The Treo is not going to be able to use them. I guess that I like the Treo as a phone but I am not so sure that it is very expandable.

I am also the proud parent of a two year old VDx that is on its last legs. I'm planning on getting a new PDA for x-mas. I'd love color, but its not crucial, so the Handera 330 is looking mighty appealing for its feature set, especially the soft graffiti area. I may get my wife a Prism, so she can at least use my Visor accessories. Maybe we can get a CF adaptor for the Prism and backup our PDAs to CF so we can swap between them as needed.

I got the Stowaway Keyboard, the eyemodule 2 and the memplug. Ill just toss em all on ebay and sell em there. I like them but the phone will have a keyboard, I already have a decent digital camera and 16m will be good enough for me. I have a lot of junk on the memplug anyway as it is.
