Eudora Sync Problems

I am using Eudora Mail 2.1 for Palm OS. I am having hot sync problems. (It works well with a Xircom Springport modem and is the only mail program that I have tried that lets me send mail using my Yahoo account and the modem.) Eudora does not sync well with Outlook Express 6.0. Messages deleted on the Visor are not always deleted on the desktop. New messages on the desktop are not always downloaded to my Visor. Worse, OE is not prompted to check for new mail when syncing. I suspect Outlook Express 6.0 is not well supported for hot syncing. Am I alone on this? If so, I must not have my set-up optimized. Any tips on using Eudora? Should I go back to an earlier rendition of Outlook Exoress?

I can't say if it works with OE 6 or not, as I'm still using OE 5.5. However I have noticed problems some times when I delete a message on both the Visor and the desktop -- after that the sync stops working correctly.

This can be corrected by deleting the files eismMAPI.dat and eismMAPItomb.dat. They are located in \palm\<username>\Eudora Mail. You might try deleting them and re-syncing.
